We are committed to helping you navigate the complexities of dental insurance. Below are details about our relationships with the most common dental insurance companies. If your plan is not listed or if you have additional questions, please contact our insurance department at 303-772-8020. We will always file your insurance claims on your behalf and work with you to help you get the most out of your dental benefits.
Aetna® — Our office is an out-of-network provider for all Aetna PPO dental plans. For most Aetna PPO dental plans — such as employer-sponsored plans — Aetna offers excellent out-of-network benefits, with coverage that is very similar to, or even identical to, in-network benefits. For patients with Aetna Medicare Advantage plans, Aetna provides 50% coverage for all approved dental procedures when services are received out-of-network.
Ameritas® — We are an out-of-network provider. In many cases, Ameritas offers out-of-network benefits that are identical to in-network benefits. We are happy to review your specific plan and provide you with detailed coverage information.
Anthem BlueCross® and BlueShield® — We are in-network with all Anthem Complete plans. We are also in-network with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois, Washington, Texas, and Alabama, as well as Anthem Dental Blue. We are out-of-network with Anthem Prime, Grid, Grid+, and Federal plans. (Individual Anthem dental plans purchased through the Colorado marketplace are typically Anthem Prime plans.) You can still use these plans in our office. At the end of your appointment, we will collect the full fee and submit your claim to Anthem on your behalf. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits—as most do—Anthem will send reimbursement directly to you. We have seen this process work well for many of our patients.
Beam — We are in-network with all plans.
Careington® — We are in-network with all plans. We do not accept Careington discount plans.
Cigna® — We are in-network with all company-sponsored Cigna PPO plans. We are out-of-network with individually purchased Cigna Advantage plans. However, we continue to see many patients with these plans because they offer predictable out-of-network benefits. If you contact our office, we can review your plan and let you know what your estimated portion will be for your visit. Unfortunately, Cigna HMO plans do not offer out-of-network benefits, and we are unable to receive reimbursement from these plans.
Delta Dental® — We are a Delta Dental Premier provider. Most Delta Dental plans include benefits when you see a Premier provider, even if your plan is a PPO plan. If your plan is a “PPO-only” plan, unfortunately, benefits cannot be used in our office. If you are looking to purchase individual dental insurance, we recommend choosing a plan through DeltaDentalCoversMe.com. All plans offered on that site can be used in our office.
Devoted Health — We can work with this plan in almost all cases — except for the HMO plan. We are out-of-network with the Liberty Dental PPO plan, but it does include out-of-network benefits. If your plan includes a Mastercard dental card, you can use it in our office. If you have a plan that reimburses you directly for dental care, we are happy to help you submit your claim and get reimbursed.
Equitable — We are in-network with all plans.
Freedom Life/US Health Group — We are in-network with all plans.
GEHA® — We are in-network with all plans.
Guardian® — We are in-network with all plans.
Humana — We are in-network with all Humana PPO plans for individuals and families. We are out-of-network with Humana Medicare Advantage plans. However, many of these plans do include out-of-network benefits. For 2026, the following Humana Medicare Advantage dental plans offer out-of-network benefits: DEN055, DEN293, DEN350, DEN377, DEN389, DEN972, DENB22, DENB53, DENB55, DENC30, DEND06. You can find your DEN number on your insurance card. If you have questions, our team is happy to help you review your benefits.
Lincoln — We are in-network with all plans.
Medicaid — We are not a Medicaid provider.
MetLife® — We are in-network with all plans.
Mutual of Omaha — We are in-network with all plans.
Physicians Mutual —We are an out-of-network provider. However, Physicians Mutual does provide coverage for out-of-network care. We would be happy to review your specific plan and provide details about your benefits.
Principal® — We are an out-of-network provider. Principal offers strong out-of-network benefits, and we would be happy to review your specific plan and provide you with the details.
SelectHealth® — If your plan provides a dental debit card, you may use it in our office. Unfortunately, we are unable to access benefits for SelectHealth HRI plans.
Sunlife — We are an out-of-network provider. Sun Life offers out-of-network benefits, and we would be happy to review your specific plan and provide you with the details.
UMR — We are in-network with all plans.
United Concordia — We are an out-of-network provider. United Concordia offers out-of-network benefits, and we would be happy to review your specific plan and provide you with the details.
United Healthcare® — We are in-network with all stand-alone PPO dental plans for individuals and families and all United Healthcare Medicare Advantage plans.
UNUM® — We are in-network with all plans.
